This was a college illustration assignment. I was asked to create a picture book using any style I would like and any influences I would like. For my book I choose a modern adaption of the Aesop fable: The Fox and the The Crow, told through the lyrics of “The Fox, the Crow and the Cookie by the band Mewithoutyou.
I choose this version because I really enjoyed the visual imagery they put into the lyrics and the melody they paired with it. What what better way to start my beginning in illustration than through illustrating a song?
